Shopping Tips to Help You Save Money

I thought really hard and come up with a bunch of shopping tips to help you save money. 

 

I have categorized these tips for easier viewing.

 

My Top Five Tips

 

5. Frozen Veggies!

I love frozen Veggies.  I can fix as much as I want and put the rest back in the freezer so it really cuts down on the waste.  There is less sodium and they hold longer than fresh veggies!  Frozen Veggies are pretty affordable too!

 

4. Try other Brands

Generic or store brand foods can really save money.  But if you have tried something and do not like the taste do not keep buying the product.  A product that just sits in your cabinet is not worth the savings.

 

3. Price Matching

Store like Wal-Mart will honor coupons and sales from other stores if it is for the same EXACT.  Ask your cashier if they know how to price match.  If they do not, request a manager.  You can often find their price matching policy around the customer service area.  Keep the ads in your purse but if you are matching many items you can give the cashier a piece of notebook paper with the following information:

  • Item name
  • Sale Price

Advertising Store

Do keep in mind that stores that price match do not usually honor any Buy 1 Get 1 Frees, first 100 customers, or sales that require a special membership card.

 

2. Keep a list
